Rules Club 50th Anniversary Dinner

I had the pleasure of being the photographer for the Rules Club's spectacular 50th Anniversary Dinner, capturing moments of celebration and camaraderie throughout the evening. The Wagga Rules Club, a cornerstone of the local sporting community since 1973, commemorated its half-century milestone with a grand dinner, welcoming 150 members, associates, and distinguished guests. Originally established to champion Australian rules football at a grassroots level, the club has since evolved into a vital part of Wagga’s sporting landscape. The anniversary event was enriched by speeches from the two remaining founding directors, Peter Reid and Ken Howell, and was hosted by Wagga’s iconic racecaller, Allan Hull. Notable attendees including Michael McCormack, Dr. Joe McGirr, and Mayor Dallas Tout, were present, underlining the club’s profound influence on the community. It was an evening steeped in nostalgia, with a strong sense of fellowship, as those gathered reminisced and celebrated the club’s substantial contributions to local sports over five decades
